AN EASY & RELAXED DIVE SITE
Long Beach’s topography is mostly made up of a flat sandy bottom with the occasional pockets of vegetation growing on loose rocks, small wrecks as well as a pipeline that runs perpendicular to the shoreline. The pipeline has a couple of dark places in it which the octopuses and crabs love.
It is named as Longbeach due to it being the longest beach in The Simonstown Area. It is located next to the Admirals garden which is a navy area and opposite the Historic Simonstown harbour which is still an active navy base. It is an easy and relaxed dive site that is sheltered by the harbour wall so that makes it the ideal training site and it also has a lot to offer for even the more experienced divers. There is always something to see and find on a dive here.
